Adam Milner works from home in Brooklyn, New York, where a rose bush is currently being cultivated at the foot of the bed. The artist’s intimate and idiosyncratic practice embraces a blurring of art and life, allowing projects to be made slowly and intuitively through collaboration, accumulation, and documentation, sometimes over many years. Lovers, friends, family members, strangers, and institutions are invariably implicated in projects which create opportunities to work through personal desires and fears. Some projects create problems while some solve them. Exhibitions have been created with The Warhol, MCA Denver, Aspen Art Museum, Casa Maauad, Galería Mascota, Olympia, David B. Smith Gallery, Black Cube Nomadic Museum, and others. Milner received a BFA from the University of Colorado (2011), an MFA from Carnegie Mellon University (2017), and attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture (2018).
