Kevin Clancy is an interdisciplinary artist working at the fluid convergence of installation, sculpture, light, and expanded media. He creates immersive multi-sensory installations that explore the eternal tensions between Utopia and Oblivion, providing both critical ruminations on contemporary culture and radiant lenses through which to envision brighter futures. His current work examines the complex effects of rapid technological accelerations on the human body, psyche, and social spheres. He has exhibited work at Mattress Factory (Pittsburgh), University of Massachusetts Boston, VIVO Media Arts Centre (Vancouver), Flux Factory (Queens), The Andy Warhol Museum (Pittsburgh), ILLUMINUS (Boston), Keleketla! Library (Johannesburg), Samsøn (Boston), West Virginia University, Penn State University, and Bunker Projects (Pittsburgh). He holds a BFA with Honors and Distinction from the Studio for Interrelated Media at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. He is currently an MFA candidate at University of California, Santa Barbara, with a Chancellor’s Fellowship.
